A statement by Moscow"s Luzhniki stadium, where the game was due to be held, said the Interior Ministry had decided it was necessary to play the game at a later date to ensure public safety.
"CSKA were ready to play on the original date," a club statement said, "but after the Interior Ministry announcement, we recognize that it is impossible to go ahead with the game."
The move comes amid fears that more suicide bombers could be preparing to strike.
Monday"s attacks on the Moscow metro system killed at least 30 people and injured over 90. Chechen militants have claimed responsibility for the blasts, which were followed on Wednesday by more suicide bombings in Dagestan"s Kizlyar. Twelve people died in that attack.
CSKA Moscow face Inter Milan in a Champions League quarter final second-leg tie at the Luzhniki on Tuesday evening. The match is scheduled to go ahead as planned.
