MOSCOW, January 31 (RIA Novosti) - Two caches of weapons have been discovered in the North Caucasus republics of Daghestan and Chechnya, Russian police said Saturday. The stash in Chechnya"s Shatoi District contained a Kalashnikov assault rifle, two mortar projectiles, 12 cartridges for grenade launchers and 272 other rounds of ammunition. The cache in Daghestan was found to contain a Kalashnikov assault rifle, two F-1 grenades and 186 rounds of ammunition. Investigations are underway.
