August 9, 1995
A Boeing-737 operated by Guatemala"s national airline Aviateca crashed into a volcano some 60km (38 miles) east of San Salvador, killing all seven crew members and 58 passengers.
November 13, 1995
Nine of 129 passengers were killed as a Nigeria Airways flight veered off the runway in Kaduna, Nigeria and was destroyed in a subsequent fire.
December 3, 1995
Seventy two people were killed in Douala, Cameroon, when a Boeing-737 crashed in a mangrove swamp.
February 29, 1996
A Faucett Airlines flight ploughed into a hillside, killing all 117 passengers and six crew members in Arequipa, Peru.
April 3, 1996
A U.S. Air Force aircraft crashed into a hill near Dubrovnik, Croatia. All six crew members and 29 passengers, including U.S. Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown, were killed.
